The head coach of Panathinaikos OPAP, Rick Pitino stated after the end of the game against Real Madrid:

"In the last two games, against Barcelona and Madrid, we got physically overpowered, almost at every position. Not only did we allow them to shoot 61% on two-pointers, but we also put them to the line 30 times. So we were getting overpowered physically in both games. We're a little small and we lack some toughness, because if you're smaller, you have to be tougher, and we were neither tonight. We played hard, but we just weren't physically tough enough to stop their mismatches."
